Zillow, the real estate listings provider, today announced its acquisition of Buyfolio, an online and mobile-based communication and organization tool for brokers and house hunters. This marks Zillow’s fourth acquisition since 2011.

Buyfolio, based in New York City, is a platform that launched last year, which allows house hunters to search, track, organize and talk over listings with their agent or whoever is helping them in their search. Its mobile apps are available for Android and Apple iOS. Over 2,000 agents have signed up for the service since its debut and both agents and consumers have created over 20,000 folios.

The acquisition will allow Zillow expand its tools and marketing for “Premier Agents,” or agents who pay to advertise on Zillow, as well as to brokerages, so real estate agents can grow their businesses.

As The Real Deal previously reported, the creators of Buyfolio, Matthew and Susan Daimler, also developed the website SeatGuru.com, a guide for airplane seating, which they sold to Expedia in 2007.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Zillow last year acquired Postlets, an online listing creation and distribution platform, and Diverse Solutions, a marketing tool for agents. In June of this year, it purchased RentJuice for $40 million. – Zachary Kussin
