Susan Weber Soros, ex-wife of billionaire George Soros, has purchased a townhouse at 116 East 70th Street near Park Avenue for $22.5 million — the full asking price, the New York Post reported. The five-floor, 6,660-square-foot mansion was built in 1869 and features five bedrooms and four-bathrooms, an elevator, two terraces and a chef’s kitchen and breakfast room in a glass gazebo that leads to the 26-foot-deep garden, according to the listing. Brown Harris Stevens broker Paula Del Nunzio had the listing.
The buy comes after Soros listed her co-op in the Majestic at 115 Central Park West for $50 million in October. As The Real Deal reported, George Soros’ daughter Andrea Soros Colombel listed her Greenwich Village townhouse for $29.5 million the same week. [NYP] —Christopher Cameron
