St. Louis-born supermodel Karlie Kloss, a Victoria’s Secret angel and the rumored girlfriend of tech investor Joshua Kushner, is laying down roots in New York.
The 20-year-old beauty, yesterday named the face of Juicy Couture’s new fragrance, has closed on her $1.98 million purchase of a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment at 151 Charles Street, according to public records filed today. The deal for the unit was completed November 8, records show.
The co-op spread appears to have been listed by Debra Kameros and Susan Weiner of Douglas Elliman, though their listing does not specify a unit number. The apartment seems fit for a supermodel. It has a 20-foot custom closet and a glass-tiled “jewel-like” bathroom, according to the listing. The apartment also features a private balcony.
The unit was last asking $1.99 million and had been on the market since July. Susan Getz of Warburg Realty represented Kloss in the deal. Weiner referred questions to Kameros, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Kloss previously referenced the purchase in a September interview with W magazine. “I’m buying my very first home, my very first apartment,” she said. “It’s beautiful. I can’t wait to have a home in the city, and finally feel at home. It’s not easy to do. I’ve been back and forth between St. Louis and New York for the past five years.”
The model, who has been dubbed “the new body” by the fashion industry (after Elle McPherson, whose body first inspired the term) has been spotted out and about with Kushner, a managing partner at Thrive Capital, in recent months. The pair were spotted together at the Victoria’s Secret annual fashion show earlier this month. Kushner is the brother of New York Observer owner and real estate investor Jared Kushner and the brother-in-law of Ivanka Trump.
