A 64th floor condominium at the Time Warner Center has hit the market with an asking price of $40 million, according to Streeteasy.com. The pricey spread at the glitzy building – which also uses the address 25 Columbus Circle – was last listed for a relatively modest $25 million in June 2008, before being withdrawn from the market after a month.
The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home features marble floors, a media room and “helicopter views of Central Park,” according to the current listing, with Daniela Kunen of Douglas Elliman.
The pad would appear to be the same 64th floor apartment that film producer Verna Harrah sold in late 2006 to a buyer listed as the “Armstrong Family Trust,” which paid $22.5 million. The head of the San Antonio, Texas-based trust is Regina Armstrong, public records show.
The apartment, which Harrah bought for a mere $8.8 million in 2004, according to previous reports, apparently has a 17th Century feel, with a foyer filled with “gold leaf columns.”
Kunen was not immediately available for comment.
