Ralph Lauren Corp., which has roughly 800,000 square feet of office space in New York City, has spoken to Related Companies about the possibility of moving into the North Tower office property planned at the Hudson Yards site, the New York Post reported. The bulk of Ralph Lauren’s office space is at 655 Madison Avenue; its lease for the space expires in 2022. According to a source to the Post, a second tower at Hudson Yards couldn’t open up until 2016 at the very earliest.
“We have tremendous interest in the North Tower but decline to comment on specific tenants,” a Related spokesperson told the Post.
Ralph Lauren is doing away with its Rugby brand, as previously reported, and two of its current retail stores could hit the market. [NYP, 1st item] —Zachary Kussin
