Focus Financial Partners, an international partnership of independent wealth advisors, inked a nearly 12,000-square-foot, full-floor lease at 825 Third Avenue, according to a release from Avison Young, which represented the tenant. Focus is moving from a 7,400-square-foot space at the Vornado Realty-owned 909 Third Avenue.
The Durst Organization owns the building, which stands 40 stories and measures 486,326 square feet. Focus will take a total of 11,923 square feet inside the property, located at East 50th Street.
Avison’s Greg Kraut, Dana Trulis and Paul Massey III represented the tenant in the transaction.
Toronto-based Avison has been on the move since coming to this side of the border. The company opened a New Jersey office in September and nabbed its first big leasing assignment two months later. —Zachary Kussin
