LIC’s L Haus sells out

Long Island City’s L Haus condominium is now sold out — a little more than a year after the Stahl Organization switched marketing teams, replacing Prudential Douglas Elliman with Modern Spaces, the developer announced today.

Elliman left the condo project in January 2012 after four years, with 60 percent of the 123 units sold. Modern Spaces wrapped up the job in only 13 months and increased the per-square-foot  price by 30 percent.

“The changing market in Long Island City in the past year and the quality of construction at L Haus helped us push the building to 100 percent sold,” Eric Benaim, CEO and president of Modern Spaces, said. “L Haus marks our fourth sellout in Long Island City. It is always a great accomplishment to successfully complete a sales and marketing assignment at a building.”

The one-, two- and three-bedroom units in the Cetra/Ruddy-designed building range from 675 to 1,800 square feet. The penthouse and duplex residences feature either private rooftop cabanas or outdoor terraces. —Christopher Cameron
