Halstead EVP Charles Homet sells Dumbo home

Charles Homet, an executive vice president at Halstead Property, has sold his Dumbo home at the Sweeney Building — on Main Street at Water Street — for $1.2 million, according to records filed yesterday with the city.

Homet was invited to join the cast of HGTV’s “Selling New York” in 2012, according to his Halstead bio. He is listed as one of the brokerage’s top 5 percent grossing agents for 2012, and last year was named one of the firm’s nine new executive vice presidents.

A Halstead spokesperson confirmed the sale, adding that Homet is still living in the neighborhood with his family. However, she declined to comment further, citing privacy concerns. The sale entered contract in early January and transferred in late February, according to the deed.

Paul Johnson and Elizabeth Brown purchased the unit. The two could not immediately be identified.

Homet and his wife purchased the home in 2006 for $999,999, according to public records.

The 1,270-square-foot condo has two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, Streeteasy.com shows. The home appears to have been sold off market.
