The 48-unit Vista condominium tower in Long Island City has channeled the energy of the universe, it seems. This fully feng shui-designed and certified property has reached the half sold mark, according to a release sent to The Real Deal by Modern Spaces, the exclusive sales and marketing team.
The project, located at 44-15 Purves Street in Court Square, was developed by Emmy Homes and Lions Group. The 15-story building has studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms that range from 475 to 965 square feet. Prices start at $360,000.
Sales opened just over six months ago, but during the “soft” sales launch in September, the first 11 homes sold in under a half hour, as The Real Deal first reported.
“The feng shui design paired with high-end finishes and amenities has been instrumental in helping achieve this important sales milestone,” Modern Spaces CEO Eric Benaim said in the release.
The principles of feng shui aim to change the energy of a given space through a series of blessings and the orientation of rooms and furniture. The Vista lacks a fourth floor — four being an unlucky number — and apartment entrances are designed to avoid facing other interior doors, which believers say allows energy to escape.
Few, if any, other residential projects have gone to such lengths to incorporate the dictates of the ancient Chinese practice, a project developer previously told The Real Deal.
Move-in is slated for June.
