Greenpoint to get new boutique condo development
The Greenpoint neighborhood will be getting a new four-story, seven-unit condominium property, with ground slated to break late this month, Brownstoner reported. Lubrano Ciavarra Architects received approval from the Department of Buildings for the project at 45 India Street, which is now a vacant lot.
The ground level will have two 900-square-foot one-bedroom homes. The unit at the rear of the property will have its own 1,230-square-foot private garden and terrace space. Both the second and third floors will contain two two-bedroom apartments. These will have two bathrooms and between 1,140 and 1,250 square feet each. Up top is a penthouse, which measures 1,520 square feet. It has three bedrooms and two terraces.
Pricing for these units was not available.
Elsewhere in the neighborhood, a pair of developers has built almost three dozen condominium projects, all named Belvedere and all with a similar architectural style, as reported earlier today.
As The Real Deal reported last month, the Greenpoint residential market has received recent attention due to Lena Dunham’s HBO series “Girls.” [Brownstoner] —Zachary Kussin
