Ben Stiller and his wife Christine Taylor have sold their 4,000-square-foot, five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom duplex co-op on the Upper West Side for a hair under $9 million, according to New York City public records seen by Co-op Sales.
The prewar orange-brick home, near West 84th Street, will go to Matthew Sirovich, a hedge fund manager who co-founded Scopia Capital Management.
Bruce L. Ehrmann of Douglas Elliman had the listing, StreetEasy shows.
After buying the apartment for $10 million in 2008, the couple listed the co-op as a $1 million loss last August, using the Riverside Trust that they arranged to purchase it. The former owner was Ann Zabar of the Zabar’s deli empire.
The apartment also has a media room and wet bar, the listing said. [Co-op Sales] – Mark Maurer
