Half of the “golden” duplex at 860 United Nations Plaza that once belonged to notorious fraudster Alberto Vilar is back on the market with an asking price of $4.95 million, Curbed reported.

The full 25-room duplex, which boasted such extravagances as black marble and gold leaf, first hit the market for $14.5 million in 2005, shortly after Vilar was arrested for swindling the mother of “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” actress Phoebe Cates. The price was then slashed to $13 million, and later the duplex was separated into two apartments that sold separately.
