Skidmore Owings & Merrill partner Peter Magill, an architect who has worked on projects such as London’s Canary Wharf, has listed his personally-designed Chelsea penthouse for $4 million.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom residence, at 133 West 22nd Street, came online today and is listed by Frank Arends and Daniela Zakarya of Town Residential. Magill bought the property with his wife, model Tracey Magill, for $3.1 million in 2009, records show.
The 1,892-square-foot apartment, on the building’s 12th floor, is designed in a minimalist style and has bleached, red oak floors and an open, gourmet kitchen. It comes with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a gym and an underground parking garage. The building also has a 421A tax abatement.
Among SOM’s city projects is the new Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York in Midtown and 1 World Trade Center. Magill did not immediately respond to a request for comment, nor did Arends.
The 99-unit Chelsea condominium building, located between Sixth and Seventh avenues, was developed by Magnum Real Estate Group and the Ascend Group.
