Looking for a rush of ’90s nostalgia? Look no further: Darren Star, the creator of “Melrose Place,” “Beverly Hills, 90210” and more recently, “Sex and the City” sold his Trump International condominium for $13 million, the New York Observer reported.
John Burger of Brown Harris Stevens was the listing agent. He declined to reveal the identity of the buyer, who is listed as Beverly Park Corporation on the deed.
However, the Observer’s digging revealed the purchaser is the Lowy family of Australia. Frank Lowy, the family patriarch, founded the Westfield Group, a worldwide shopping mall developer. Westfield is paying the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey $612.5 million to operate 460,000 square feet of retail in a joint venture at the Santiago Calatrava-designed World Trade Center transportation hub, as previously reported.
Star’s home was listed this past September for $14.9 million. The 3,059-square-foot pad has three bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. [NYO] —Zachary Kussin
