British real estate mogul brothers Christian and Nick Candy are continuing to scope out the crème de la crème of the Manhattan property market, the New York Post reported.
Monaco-based Christian and London-based Nick have looked at Harry Macklowe’s 432 Park Avenue, according to the Post, and have also expressed interest in the $125 million triplex penthouse at the Pierre and condos at the new Baccarat development.
They have previously looked at the CitySpire penthouse on West 56th Street, which owner Steven Klar recently relisted for $100 million, as The Real Deal reported.
The brothers also made a $60 million bid on the 9,799-square-foot, six-bedroom penthouse at the Mark, but failed to follow through. And now, they have their sights set on a single family mansion uptown, sources told the Post.
Of course, the high profile duo seems to have a bit of trouble putting their money where their mouths are, something that has led one real estate insider to tell the Post that “people are over them.” [NYP, 1st item] – Hiten Samtani
