The landmarked former Ridley Department Store and two adjacent Orchard Street buildings are now under contract for an undisclosed sum, the Lo-Down reported. The seller, listed as Ridley Realty LLC in city records, sought $27 million for the portfolio.
The 55,000-square-foot portfolio encompasses 57, 59-63 and 65-67 Orchard Street, on the corner of Grand Street, and houses a variety of commercial tenants.
Two buildings in the portfolio have garment district zoning. The third does not, and can be built to 73,000 square feet.
The former department store was landmarked last fall.
A Massey Knakal team lead by Michael DeCheser had the listing.
There’s the chance to upgrade the buildings’ retail spaces, DeCheser told the Lo Down. [The Lo Down] —Zachary Kussin
