A boutique hotel is coming to Gowanus, with construction slated to start this September, DNAinfo reported. Developer Rajesh Bhagia, who developed the hip-hop-themed Hotel BPM in Sunset Park, is behind the project.
The property, at 529 President Street near Third Avenue, will stand five stories and have 99 rooms.
“It’s a perfect location — it’s going to be a hotel block,” Bhagia told DNAinfo.
There’s A Holiday Inn Express Nearby On Union Street And Third Avenue and a Super 8 at 267 Third Avenue. There are also plans for another boutique hotel at 645 Union Street near Fourth Avenue, as previously reported.
