Former Douglas Elliman superbroker Dolly Lenz has formed a limited liability company and has staffed I. Dolly Lenz Real Estate with six former Elliman colleagues, The Real Deal has learned.
Lenz incorporated her business at the end of June; the registered address is her home at the Park Imperial building at 230 West 56th Street, according to public records. Moving over from Elliman are Aaron Lenz, her husband, as well as Brett Forman, Matthew Johnson, Tricia Johnson Reilly, Adam Vanderbrook and Nicholas Polihros, according to broker licensing information from the New York Department of State.
Johnson Reilly and Forman have the titles of associate broker; Aaron Lenz, Vanderbrook and Polihros are all salespersons.
Lenz was not immediately available for comment. Industry insiders such as Elliman’s Leonard Steinberg had previously speculated that CNBC contributor Lenz would start her own brokerage.
Jonhson Reilly, Vanderbrook and Polihros could not be reached. Forman declined to comment. Lenz’s attorney Douglas Danzig of the law firm Norton Rose Fullbright also declined to comment.
Lenz departed Elliman last month after 14 years, as The Real Deal previously reported, leaving most of her top listings. For instance, Lisa Simonsen, who handled the $48 million sale of a Plaza Hotel condominium in 2011, took over Lenz’s listing for a penthouse at The Sherry Netherland On Fifth Avenue which had been asking $95 million.
