Shoe entrepreneur Vince Camuto has listed his longtime Southampton home — a 10,000-square-foot mansion with a breathtaking waterfront view — for $48 million, Curbed reported.

Camuto, who started out as a shoe designer and founded the Nine West national shoe and handbag chain, has lived at the Gin Lane property for more than 30 years. The two-story house has a storied past: It was built in 1930 as the pool house on the summer estate of Jessie Woolworth Donahue, the daughter of Woolworth founder F.W. Woolworth. The acreage’s main house was demolished in the early 1940s after the death of then-owner Edmund Lynch, co-founder of Merrill Lynch.

The manor, which has seven bedrooms, seven baths and a half-bath, is listed by the Corcoran Group’s Peter Huffine and Tim Davis. The listing includes 5.5 acres surrounding the home; Camuto will retain another 8.8 acres.

Camuto and his family have already moved to a “21,000-square-foot stuccoed Xanadu” in nearby Water Mill, according to Curbed. [Curbed]Hiten Samtani
