Magnum and SL Green’s Williamsburg townhouse development hits the market
The first two units in a Williamsburg townhouse development — a rare example of ground-up rowhouse construction in the neighborhood — have hit the market, each asking for $2.38 million, the New York Times reported.
The development, known as the Williamsburg Townhomes, at 131 North Third Street off of Bedford Avenue, has launched a new full website offering prospective buyers floor plans and prices. MNS Real Estate is marketing the property.
Each of the dozen 1,861-square-foot townhouses, which include three bedrooms and four bathrooms, has 957 square feet of exterior space, including private terraces and backyards. Interiors feature white oak flooring, parlor floor, living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, gas fireplace, in-unit washer/dryer and rec room with half-bath.
The Williamsburg Townhomes is the latest housing development in Williamsburg to appear to have returned from the proverbial grave after the 2008 housing crisis.
When construction for the Williamsburg Townhomes began in 2007, Quadriad Realty Partners owned the site. The project wound up being taken over by the Thor Capital Group, then by Triton Realty Holdings, which completed construction.
In March, a partnership between SL Green Realty Corporation and Magnum Real Estate Group bought the Williamsburg Townhomes and Williamsburg Social from Triton for about $51.5 million. [NYT] – James Comtois
