Fashion designer Rachel Roy is departing her rented duplex penthouse at the Chelsea Royale building at 200 West 24th Street.

The California-born clothing mogul, whose creations have adorned First Lady Michelle Obama and actresses Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz, is moving back to her home state, four years after she split from Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash, according to Katherine Salyi, a broker with Nest Seekers International.

Roy’s apartment, a 2,227-square-foot spread she’d been renting for the past several years, is back on the market, listed with Salyi and “Million Dollar Listing New York” star Ryan Serhant, also of Nest Seekers, for $16,500 a month.

Roy moved into the apartment after leaving the Tribeca pad she previously shared with Dash at 25 North Moore Street. When Dash sold that property in 2010, its new owner was forced to evict Roy.

The Chelsea duplex was recently featured on the home design website One King’s Lane, which gushed over Roy’s driftwood cube seating.

Roy’s children, Ava and Tallulah, shared the master bedroom at the property, while the designer slept in a smaller room, according to the home design website.

The three-bedroom apartment features a gourmet kitchen, built-in book shelves and a greenhouse-style glass enclosure, which opens into the downstairs living room, according to the listing. The property also has a private roof terrace with views of the Empire State Building. The unit is still owned by the building’s sponsor.

The Chelsea Royale condo has 18 units and two penthouses. It was built in 2004.

The apartment is available for lease beginning September 15.
