The 11-story residential development at 220 St. Nicholas Avenue, which underwent foreclosure in November 2012, is to be restructured as rentals.
The building, developed by brothers Justin and Cobby Gorjian, will feature around 14 half and full-floor units that will be finished by architect Jeffrey Cole. Each unit comes with a private outdoor space, floor-to-ceiling windows and private entry that is accessed by keyed elevators.
Floors 8 inches thick are also designed to limit sound and vibration, and will be covered by carbonized bamboo.
Two penthouses, one on the ninth floor and another on the tenth, will come with two terraces and 542 square feet of outdoor space each. Amenities are to include a doorman, exercise room and postal storage room.
A live-date for the listings has not yet been anounced, but the leasing agent will be Halstead Property. [Curbed] — Julie Strickland
