A new four-story, seven-unit building is being developed at the site of a former two-family residence in Greenpoint, BuzzBuzzHome reported.
The new building, located at 69 Java Street between West and Franklin streets, will feature 4,911 square feet of residential space, a one-car garage for the first floor and a roof terrace. The property was sold in February for $900,000. Li Architect Associate PLLC will design the building.
The site was formerly a brick townhouse built in 1905, according to a listing from the Corcoran Group.
In addition to the site’s history and potential, the listing added that it was also something of a fixer-upper. The detached prewar residence was 2,681 square feet and “need[ed] TLC, so bring your architect and be ready to renovate,” Corcoran’s listing said. [BuzzBuzzHome] – James Comtois
