A new dessert hot spot that makes high-end Rice Krispie treats has opted to snap, crack and pop up — on Upper East Side. Treat House opened only last month in 750 square feet at 452 Amsterdam Avenue, between 81st and 82nd streets, but is already looking to expand with a 2,500-square-foot commissary and a second store across town.
Treat House owners Jennifer and Chris Russell are checking out spots on Long Island and in Westchester as well.
Also on the store’s menu: ice cream sandwiches that are double-dipped in chocolate made with Rice Krispies “cookies.” [NYP] — Mark Maurer
