“How I Met Your Mother” co-creator Craig Thomas and his wife picked up a Tribeca condominium for $6.6 million.
The ground-floor duplex at 39 Vestry Street, near Washington Street, features five bedrooms, a garden, media room and 1,000 square feet for the combined living and dining area.
The seller was John Novogratz, senior managing director at the hedge fund Millenium Partners, and his wife. Broker Richard Orenstein of Halstead Property had the listing. The asking price for the loft was $6.5 million.
The condo is quite a bit pricier than a Harlem brownstone acquired by one of the show’s stars, Neil Patrick Harris. The actor and Tony Awards host paid $3.6 million for 2036 Fifth Avenue, as previously reported.
The ninth and final season of the Manhattan-set, Los Angeles-shot CBS sitcom premieres Sept. 23. [NYO] — Mark Maurer
