Prolific New York architect Gene Kaufman has been tapped to design a seven-story mixed-use building at 56 North Street, near Kent Avenue, in Williamsburg.
Developer Ronit Realty LLC has plans for a 53-unit site with ground-floor retail space and a roof terrace. Floors three through seven will have apartments. Ronit bought the site in 1998, BuzzBuzzHome reported, citing city property records. It filed permits in April to demolish the one-story warehouse on the lot.
Kaufman has also worked on the Residences at the Williamsburg, the Decora and the Lucent in the neighborhood. [BuzzBuzzHome] — Mark Maurer
