Town broker rejoins Citi Habitats to run East Village office

Citi Habitats has hired a familiar face as the new senior managing director at the East Village office, the residential brokerage told The Real Deal exclusively.

Joe Azar is returning to the firm after serving as an agent at Town Residential. He started his career at Citi Habitats, having worked there for seven years. He was named “rookie of the year” in his first year at Citi Habitats and was ranked among the top 25 producers in rentals and sales in the years to follow.

Now Azar will take on a managerial role, at the 37 Third Avenue location. He will be responsible for boosting revenue and the volume of exclusive listings for rentals and sales properties. — Mark Maurer
