George Soros’ ex-wife chops $11M off asking price for UWS co-op, ditches Halstead for Town

Billionaire George Soros’ ex-wife chopped the asking price for her Upper West Side co-op at the Majestic by $11 million – to $39 million.

Susan Weber Soros also switched brokerages, trading representation by Halstead Property’s S. Christopher Halstead for that of Town Residential’s Patty LaRocco, according to StreetEasy.

Soros listed the five-bedroom unit at 115 Central Park West in October for $50 million, and then dropped the ask to $45 million in February, the Wall Street Journal reported. She bought the the home, which was previously owned by hotelier Ian Schrager, for $25 million in 2006.

In April, George Soros’ son listed a Little Italy townhouse at 5 Centre Market Place for $12 million, as previously reported. [WSJ]Mark Maurer
