Fairway Market is setting up shop in the World Trade Center neighborhood. The popular market signed a 52,000-square-foot lease at Jack Resnick & Sons’ 255 Greenwich Street, at the corner of Murray Street — two blocks north of the World Trade Center complex.
In August, the fast-growing supermarket announced that it would take 45,875 square feet on the ground floor of the 1.7 million-square-foot South Tower at Related Companies’ Hudson Yards.
The new location will have more than 11,000 square feet on the ground floor, with the balance on the concourse level, according to the New York Post. Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Jason Pruger and Welco Realty’s Allen Cooperman represented Fairway in the deal.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and none of the involved parties immediately responded to the Post’s requests for comment. [NYP] – Hiten Samtani
