High-end Italian men’s fashion brand Ermenegildo Zegna signed a 10-year lease to join the shops at Brookfield Office Properties’ Brookfield Place.
The shop will take a 3,550-square-foot, two-floor space on the north side of the Winter Garden, a three-story glass atrium, which has a new entrance on West Street set to open next month. The store will have a 40-foot-tall glass façade and a mezzanine that leads directly to the second-floor office lobby.
Ed Hogan, national director of retail for Brookfield, and Kira Meers of the McDevitt Company represented the landlord. Joan Siegel of Siegel Consultants represented Zegna, which also has a location at 663 Fifth Avenue in Midtown.
Other tenants include Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry, Michael Kors and Hermes.
Brookfield has been competing with the Westfield Group for luxury retailers Downtown, as the latter has been signing dozens of tenants in the first retail properties at the 16-acre World Trade Center site, as previously reported. [NYP] — Mark Maurer
