Yet another new development is slated for Long Island City, Queens, where a number of megaprojects have risen in recent years and other are already in the pipeline.
Sina Mahfar of SMA Equities plans to develop a 12-story, 87-unit project at 41-18th 24th Street, Between 41st Avenue and Queens Plaza North. The building will feature 66,525 square feet of residential space, although whether the units will be rentals or condominiums is not yet known. The planned tower will also boast a roof terrace, parking and bike storage. A plan exam was filed earlier this week for the project, with Flushing-based MY Architect PC set to design.
The developer bought the site last year for $2.6 million, according to BuzzBuzzHome. In May, demolition permits were filed for the one-story warehouse on the lot. On the same block is the World-Wide Group’s 421-unit rental project at 41-50 24th Street. [BuzzBuzzHome] — Mark Maurer
