Rapid Realty’s Anthony Lolli has become the first real estate executive to win the Golden Bridge Awards’ Entrepreneur of the Year award, an accolade that has traditionally gone to leaders in the tech world. Past recipients of the award include Facebook’s head honcho Mark Zuckerberg and LinkedIn’s chief executive officer Jeff Weiner.
“Most real estate companies license or outsource their tech, but we decided to create our own,” Lolli told the New York Observer. “We teeter between real estate and tech.”
Lolli personally designed Rapid Realty’s database, according to the Observer, which combines a payroll management system, transaction management system and leaderboard. The database allows brokers to see the volume of deals closing and communicate through an instant messaging system. [NYO] – Hiten Samtani
