DDG offered Community Board 1’s landmarks committee a glimpse at its plans for an eight-story mixed-use building at 100 Franklin Street, near Sixth Avenue, in Tribeca.
The developer’s in-house architect Peter Guthrie designed it for two triangular lots in the Tribeca East Historic District. The proposed glassy building will have ground-floor retail and a penthouse evoking a mansard roof.
The committee approved a resolution requesting that DDG rework the mansard roof and reconsider the bulkhead. The Landmarks Preservation Commission will then review the project on Nov. 12. The Tribeca Citizen did not note whether the residential portion would be rentals or condos. [Tribeca Citizen] — Mark Maurer
