DSA Realty Services, a mid-sized residential brokerage that operates out of a storefront location near Union Square, is set to open its second office, at Carnegie Hall Tower at 152 West 57th Street, co-founder Arik Lifshitz told The Real Deal.
The new 4,500-square-foot space, on the ninth floor of the famed office building owned by TF Cornerstone between Sixth and Seventh avenues, will allow the company to expand by another 30 sales and rental agents and to better serve areas like Midtown and the Upper West Side and Upper East Side, Lifshitz said. The firm is currently in hiring mode to fill the desks.
The new office will likely open for business early in 2014. The terms of the lease deal have not been finalized, but Lifshitz said the term would likely be 10 years. Daniel Lolai of Murray Hill Properties is representing DSA in the deal.
DSA was founded in 2007 by Lifshitz and Jesse Rhinier. It is a division of real estate investment company DSA Property Group.
DSA Property has recently been in acquisition mode, having purchased three multi-family properties in Midtown East and Murray Hill as a joint venture with investor Ira Lifschutz. The properties are 352 East 50th Street, 412 East 50th Street and 107 East 35th Street, which were purchased for $4.1 million, $3.7 million and $4.35 million, respectively.
DSA Realty has had another storefront office at 113 East 12th Street since 2011. Prior to that, the company had several smaller locations scattered throughout the city, Lifshitz said.
