Manhattan-based developer, management company and Toyota dealership connoisseur TF Cornerstone wants tenants to stop using Airbnb because it creates a “negative vibe.”

Illegal subletting is also, of course, illegal, as the company pointed out in a memo to the tenants of its nine New York City rental properties.

“Please refrain from using sites like airbnb, craigslist or roomorama as this practice creates a negative vibe in the building,” TF Cornerstone wrote in the memo.

Airbnb, which recently released a study showing the $632 million the short-term rental website generated for New York City last year, is also in New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s crosshairs. The AG issued a subpoena earlier this month demanding data on around 15,000 New York users of the site, which Airbnb has since moved to block. [Gawker]Julie Strickland
