A dispute between an Inwood apartment building superintendent and a tenant turned fatal over the weekend, and the killer remains at large.
Elvido Soriano, who lives in a basement apartment at 76 Vermilyea Avenue, near 204th Street, is a suspect in the stabbing death of building superintendent Hipolito Perez, who also lived in a basement-level unit. Perez, found dead Sunday morning, suffered stab wounds to the neck and chest.
A surveillance camera snagged footage of Soriano entering and leaving the super’s apartment before a body was later discovered, the New York Post reported.
Cops are currently on the hunt for Soriano, who had been at loggerheads with Perez for some time, though the reason was not immediately clear, as the Post reported. [NYP] — Julie Strickland
