The West Village townhouse that served as the inspiration for Carrie Bradshaw’s home in HBO’s “Sex and the City” television series has sold for $13.25 million — the third time in two years that the 64 Perry Street property has traded hands.
The 5,566-square-foot property, Located Between Hudson Street and Seventh Avenue, has four bedrooms and sold for $9 million in November 2011. It then sold again, in April 2012, for $9.85 million, as The Real Deal reported, and was relisted this July for $13.5 million – or for $22 million with a full renovation thrown in — with Douglas Elliman’s Leonard Steinberg and Herve Senequier, Curbed reported.
The buyer was not immediately clear, according to Curbed.
To be sure, most of the shots of Bradshaw’s townhouse in the show are not actually of 64 Perry Street. The show’s creators planned to shoot this home, but ended up forced to use Neighboring 66 Perry Street, Curbed said.
In May, Darren Star, the creator of the hit show, sold his Trump international condominium for $13 million. [Curbed] — Hiten Samtani
