Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. recently toured a Soho co-op at 565 Broadway asking $8.99 million. The 6,500-square-foot loft space has five bedrooms and five bathrooms and is owned by artist Edwina Sandys, the granddaughter of Winston Churchill.
Gooding — whose “show me the money!” catchphrase in “Jerry Maguire” is part of Hollywood lore — currently lives in California with his wife and three children, and is on the lookout for a New York City home, the New York Post reported. The apartment, which boasts marble floors as well as a 1,500-square-foot mezzanine, is sprinkled with paintings that Sandys made of Churchill.
The unit was originally listed in September, for just shy of $11 million, with Douglas Elliman’s Gabrielle Frank and Eric Liebman, according to the Post. [NYP, 1st item] – Hiten Samtani
