Good news New Yorkers: though Brooklyn rents continue to rise, they have hit a “plateau” in Manhattan, according to data from Zumper.

The news will likely be of little comfort to Tribeca residents however, whose one-bedroom rentals are among the city’s priciest at $3,995 per month. The nabe is closely followed by the West Village at $3,600 and Chelsea at $3,575.

The city’s most expensive two-bedrooms are to be found in Battery Park City, where a double will set renters back roughly $6,095 per month, followed by Tribeca at $5,850 and Chelsea, again in third, at $5,175.

All is not lost on the island however, as the Upper East Side is cheaper than Long Island City and the East Village is a 35 percent dip below Brooklyn Heights. [Curbed]Julie Strickland
