High-end clothier David Peysner Sportswear has inked a deal to expand its current space at 1071 Sixth Avenue in the Garment District.
The retailer renewed its 14,000-square-foot space on the 12th floor for an additional 10 years, while tacking on 3,545 square feet of increased room on the building’s eighth floor, said broker David Levy of Adams & Company, which owns the building. The asking rent for the space was $56 per square foot for the renewal and $59 square foot for the additional eighth-floor space, which David Peysner plans to use for offices and showrooms.
Many of the building’s other current tenants have been in the Bryant Park-adjacent boutique building for more than 30 years, longevity Levy attributed to the location. David Peyser has been in the locale for decades, Crain’s reported. [Crain’s] — Julie Strickland
