Boutique real estate firm Handler Real Estate Organization has hired former Thor Equities exec Richard Farley — also formerly of RFR Realty, SL Green Realty and ABS Partners Real Estate — as its newest executive vice president and COO, Handler said.
Farley will oversee the firm’s growing brokerage division in his new post, handing the recruitment and hiring of brokers, strategic planning and implantation and mentoring the firm’s younger folks, the firm said.
“Richard is an intelligent, well-respected real estate professional who brings with him instant credibility and a long history of success both in terms of managing and growing departments and transacting deals,” Scott Galin, Handler’s president and CEO, said in a release.
The move marks the latest in Farley’s firm-hopping over the past couple of years. Prior to joining Handler, Farley was vice president of office leasing for Thor, a move announced in March of this year. He directed the leasing program at ABS prior to that, and was executive vice president and director of leasing at RFR for 13 years. — Julie Strickland
