Jamestown Properties and Rockwood Capital signed film distributor Lions Gate Entertainment, which releases the “Hunger Games” films, to their Midtown East office tower, 530 Fifth Avenue.
The entertainment company signed a 10-year lease for a 7,900-square-foot space on the 26th floor, according to a report from Crain’s. Asking rent was in the mid-$70s per square foot.
Jim Travers of Los Angeles-based Travers Realty represented Lions Gate, while David Falk and Danny Levine of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the landlords.
The partnership purchased the 26-story, 500,000-square-foot building, between 44th and 45th streets, last year for $390 million from the Chetrit Group and the Moinian Group.
Jamestown and Rockwood also recently signed a lease with trendy coffee shop Kaffe 1668 at the same building, Crain’s said. [Crain’s] — Mark Maurer
