Architect Karl Fischer and developer Simon Dushinsky’s Rabsky Group are bringing a new residential project to Crown Heights. The eight-story, 136,373-square-foot project, at 564 St. Johns Place, will have 172 apartments, according to Department of Buildings filings.
The building will include an 86-car parking lot and indoor and outdoor recreation spaces, according to the Dec. 13 plan exam application seen by BuzzBuzzHome. It is not clear if the building will be rental or condominiums.
Rabsky has been an active player in the New York City market as of late. The developer’s Williamsburg rental at 146 South 4th Street recently began leasing, and in Queens, Rabsky recently filed plans to build a 44-story residential tower in Long Island City, according to BuzzBuzzHome.
The rapid pace of gentrification in Crown Heights – especially in the area surrounding Franklin Avenue — has forced even recent arrivals of the neighborhood out, as previously reported. [BuzzBuzzHome] – Hiten Samtani
