Reebok is planting a footprint in Union Square with a new concept store and workout space that will replace jeans retailer Diesel.
Reebok Fit Hub and a Reebok CrossFit gym signed a lease for an 11,600-square-foot flagship space at landlord Buchbinder & Warren’s 1 Union Square West near East 14th Street. RKF brokers Yael Amron and Jeremy Ezra represented the tenant, while William Abramson and Eugene Warren represented Buchbinder & Warren in-house.
The ground-floor space will cover 4,800 square feet. The gym will take up 6,800 square feet on the lower level, the New York Post reported. The nine-story Class B building was completed in 1890 and designated a city landmark in 1985.
In July, Reebok Fit Hub inked a 4,000-square-foot lease at 1132 Third Avenue on the Upper East Side.
The landlord listed the full 6,935-square-foot sixth floor in October with an asking price of $65 per square foot. [NYP, 3rd item] — Mark Maurer
