A brazen Upper West Side townhouse with an orange candelabra and scarlet stairs has come back onto the market asking $9.75 million.
The house, which is located at 68 West 87th Street, Between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West, first hit the market back in 2011 asking $10 million, according to Curbed. Turn-of-the-century architect Clarence True originally designed the five-bedroom, five-story building, which boasts 6,100 square feet.
The entire interior has been renovated to lay bare an “uncommon blend of elegant original detail with modern style and convenience,” according to the listing with David Kornmeier of Brown Harris Stevens.
However, the main floor retains its Beaux Arts-style formal parlor, which features intricately detailed Tiger Oak columns and 18th-century marble mantles and crown molding. [Curbed] –Christopher Cameron
