Yet another hotel is slated to spring up in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park — this one with 88 rooms at 833 39th Street.
The 65-foot building will span 30,021 square feet between Eighth and Ninth avenues, according to city Department of Buildings records cited by Brownstoner. Michael Kang Architect, based in Flushing, will design the hotel, which is to include four duplex suites.
Amenities on offer include an exercise room, laundry, bicycle parking, a business center, restaurant, kitchen and accessory store and 20 parking spaces, according to DOB records.
The property sold to an LLC for $3.7 million in August, according to city records. Prior to the sale, it was a granite supply business with a storefront and large parking lot, according to Brownstoner.
A six-story space-age hotel is slated to go up at nearby 457 39th Street, totaling 70 units and 19,928 square feet of commercial space, as previously reported. [Brownstoner] — Julie Strickland
