Midtown Equities’ 160,000-square-foot mixed-use development is one of three new projects likely to change the face of Atlantic Avenue, especially at the corner of Boerum Place in Brooklyn, within the next year.
Construction has begun on the foundation of 66 Boerum Place, which Midtown is developing with Alex Adjmi, the Brooklyn Eagle reported. The project will include a nine-story building with a glass-heavy base and office, retail and residential space.
Down the street, Renaissance Realty Group is at work on a proposed retail building known as Atlantic Galleria, at 252 Atlantic Avenue. Though construction recently paused, Retro Fitness and Pier 1 Imports have signed leases there, the Brooklyn Eagle said.
