Less than a week after Williamsburg landlord Menachem Stark was murdered, police are looking into the homicide of a Ditmas Park landlord whose body was found just after midnight. A male tenant is a person of interest in the case.
Cops found the landlord, Mahuddin Mahumd, 57, in one of his own basement rentals at 546 Mcdonald AvenueNear Avenue C in Kensington with his throat slit.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, police and sources told the New York Post and Gothamist. Officers were responding to a call about an assault in progress at the time, the New York Daily News reported. Mahumd lived about a mile away at 405 Westminster Road, according to Gothamist.
The tenant hasn’t been seen since Mahumd was found, and no arrests have been made, the Post reported. Mahumd’s death is the second in the past week in the real estate world, following the kidnapping and grisly murder of Stark. Stark’s killing is also still under investigation.
