Past pink townhouse drops ask, switches broker
The owner of the formerly Pepto Bismol-pink townhouse in Park Slope, since painted over and listed for $4.8 million in July, dropped the asking price and switched brokers.
The six-bedroom home at 233 Garfield Place is now on the market for $4.45 million, and the listing shifted to the Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes team at Douglas Elliman, from Maria Mackin of Halstead Property.
Built in 1901, the landmarked four-story brownstone was renovated to include a chef’s kitchen, marble countertops, central heating and cooling before hitting the market last year. The current owner bought the home for just over $2 million in 2012, and painted over the pad’s trademark pink facade after securing city permission to do so a year later.
