Developer East River Partners, which specializes in converting townhouses in Brooklyn, is dabbling in new development with plans for two neighboring four-story residential properties in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
An 1865 townhouse and a carriage house are located at 164 South Oxford Street, while a garage occupies 171 South Portland Avenue.
In place of this block-through compound, the project will create 14 residential units, either rentals or condominiums, according to a plan exam application filed yesterday. Flatiron District-based Barry Rice Architects was tapped to serve as architect of record, BuzzBuzzHome reported. The developer paid $7.5 million for the land in October.
